Getting Started

How do I request a custom piece? Ready to create something uniquely yours? Simply fill out our Custom Creation Form or email us at howdy@notjustnorth.com with your ideas! We'll respond within 2 business days to discuss your vision and see how we can bring it to life. Don't worry if you're not sure about all the details yet – that's exactly what our consultation is for!

What happens during the design consultation? We'll dive into your vision together! I'll ask about your preferred materials, size requirements, style preferences, and any special meaning you want your piece to have. Based on our conversation, I'll create a design concept for your approval and provide an exact quote tailored to your specific requirements.

Pricing & Payment

How much do custom pieces cost? Custom creations start at $25 and typically range up to $75, depending on materials, complexity, and design details. You'll receive an exact quote during our consultation – no surprises! A 50% deposit gets us started, with the remaining balance due when your piece is ready to ship.

What payment methods do you accept? We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and other standard payment methods through our secure checkout system.

Timeline & Process

How long does the custom creation process take? Most custom pieces are completed within 2-3 weeks from design approval. Here's what to expect:

  • Consultation & design approval: 2-3 days
  • Creation time: 2-3 weeks
  • Shipping: 3-5 business days

I'll keep you updated with progress photos so you can watch your piece come to life!

Can I make changes to my design? Absolutely! You get up to two revision rounds during the design approval phase. I want you to be completely thrilled with the concept before creation begins. Once physical creation starts, changes become more limited, but I'm always here to address any concerns.

Materials & Quality

What materials do you use? All materials are sourced exclusively from LGBTQ+ friendly suppliers because supporting inclusive businesses matters deeply to me. We work with various high-quality materials including different metals, beads, natural stones, and findings. During consultation, I'll recommend the best materials for your design, budget, and intended use.

How do you ensure quality? Every piece is carefully inspected for durability, comfort, and craftsmanship before packaging. I personally wear-test designs when possible and check for any sharp edges or potential issues. Your satisfaction is my priority!

Policies & Support

What if I need to cancel my order? Life happens, and I understand plans can change:

  • Full refund: Before design approval
  • 50% refund: After design approval but before creation begins
  • No refund: Once creation begins (since it's made specifically for you)

What if I'm not happy with my finished piece? While this rarely happens thanks to our thorough approval process, I'm committed to making things right. Contact me at howdy@notjustnorth.com and we'll work together to find a solution that leaves you happy.

How will my custom piece arrive? Your creation receives our full signature packaging treatment! It arrives in a beautiful teal velvet organza bag, wrapped in purple tissue paper, with a "Thanks, Traveler" affirmation card – perfect whether it's for you or as a gift.
